This deck helped me navigate some of the most difficult matchups I faced at the Canadian Nationals tournament, including IG, Moons, and Skorp. It is inspired by TF34's Desperado Val, but which I believe was made stronger by Mining Accident . I do think that Mining Accident will be a brilliant card in the post rotation/ban meta.
Although this deck is weaker than Wizz variants of Anarch in the immediate short run - it can hit a midgame plateau that snowballs to place a ton of pressure on asset spam corps. Desperado, scrubber, rebirth, salsette, rumor mill, hacktivist help make Moon not an auto loss.
Fun note: In my matchup against Yannik Richard's 6 shock IG, I rebirthed into Wizz, hit a mining accident and installed scrubber for a total of 7 recurring trash credits a turn. I paid through the nose (13 I think) to trash the bioethics, which was worth it, since that card sucks.
Prior to the tournament, I had been using two Rumor Mills, three Hacktivists to pressure Moon, but eventually settled on a single copy of RM, instead going for Film Critic, Turtle and "Networking" - which turned out to be a total waste of time and space. I did not regret adding the turtle tho, it carried me through a very difficult game against Mikhail Honoridez' Skorp deck, in which he hit two Tithoniums and a Collossus against me to wreck almost my entire rig of programs.
Congrats to the finalists Dien Tran and Josh Williams who played a stellar final. Shoutout to TheArete and the whole Toronto Meta - Netrhino and all my friends who have helped me become better at the game.
7 credit per turn :) GG congrats on 3rd place !
