"John Masanori looks pretty sweet since we can ignore his drawback."

We can't. Jesminders ability works during a run. Masanori gives tag after run is finished.

"Magnum is there as a way of gaining a lot of money in slower matchups (or if I get a bad draw) so I can vamp later on in the game"

Just so you know, Magnum is going to be your only reliable way of getting money. With only 6 other econ cards, you're going to be short on cash without MO. So I would plan on getting that out there as soon as you can in pretty much all matchups.

Also, with three SMCs and three Code Siphons, I don't think you need three Gingerbreads. I'd consider dropping to one or two, and using extra influence to throw in some clone chips, so you can recur DX.

I would also consider dropping Dirty Laundry, or swapping it for Modded.

@Ver Checked the rulebook again and damnit, you're right.

@dogstew I figured with 6 other econ cards + multithreader (and potentially code siphon) I'd been in the green, I take it that that's not the case then?

Is recuring DX important in most cases? (as in, do most other decks do this? Is it the 'smart' thing to do? Why?)

Is Dirty Laundry a bad idea? Is it because of unreliability? With only 5 programs for modded to get full value out of I figured it wouldn't be an efficient card (I need to have modded + another card to play it.)

@dogstew (thanks for the tip of getting MO out there asap btw, I'll be sure to remember that)

I count 10 complete targets for Modded, (Maya, 2x RDI, 2x Plascrete, Deus X, 3x Multithreader, Magnum Opus), which comes to 13 cards when you consider the redundant copies of Maya and MO. You also have partial targets in Gingerbread, Panchatantra, and Leprechaun.

Dirty Laundry is a fine card, though Modded helps you avoid tempo hits better. Dropping to 0 credits creates scoring windows that you don't want to exist, and Modded helps you maintain tempo better.

To be clear, I think your econ package is fine - honestly with Magnum Opus, you probably don't even need Multithreader. But without an early Magnum Opus, I think you'll find yourself clicking a lot for credits. Multithreader costs money to install, trashing important assets costs money, installing programs and hardware costs money, vamp costs money, etc. etc. For reference, check out some popular, tournament-winning decks. Those without Magnum Opus tend to run a ton of economy - 15 or more econ cards is not uncommon. With MO you can get away with less, because Magnum Opus is the most reliable econ engine in the game.

Being able to recur DX is a good panic button option, both for breaking big ice that you can't afford (or don't want to afford) to break with Gingerbread. It also will make games against net damage decks much, much easier. Outside of recurring Deus X, Clone Chip is a great all-purpose card. It can recur Self-Modifying Code for instant speed tutoring, and it can bring back any key programs that get trashed from ice or damage.

All this being said, I haven't actually played the deck! These comments are just thoughts based on looking at it. If you like what you've got when you test it online, then by all means stick with it.

@dogstew For som reason I discounted the hardware, my bad.

I suppose I do have a lot of tutoring, I did feel like having 3x Gingerbread and 3x Panchatantra would be needed, since Gingerbread is my only breaker and Panchatantra makes sure I can break ICE. With Code Siphon probably requiring a breaker to already be out and all. I suppose testing will show me how often I end up with spare copies in the first few turns. The Clone chips do sound tempting, so that'll be something to try out next if 3x Gingerbread is too much.

Modded does seem more reliable, so I think I'll switch out the dirty laundry for them like you suggested.

Thanks for helping out!
