Get the Bus? But it's only 2 blocks! - 3-0 June AMT

Baa Ram Wu 2223

Firstly the AMT was a real blast! Great tournament all round with some really good games vs excellent opponents. Thanks to NSG for putting these on.

Coming in I already knew I was going to be playing Virus Hoshiko but hadn't really decided on a corp - This meant I actually had to do the hard work and think about the meta I expected to see. This is what I came up with:

Lat - Specifically Eric's Aesops list

Hoshiko, in a variety of deck sizes, playing 3x Bankhar for early pressure

Esa, leaning heavily on Bankhar and Botulus for breaking ice.

And probably some 419.

my guesses turned out to be pretty accurate - Shoutout to Enkoder bringing an annicam Lat deck and going undefeated into the finals though - pretty sure that deck would have wrecked me in a big way!

How I settled on this Outfit deck:

Lat would be a big problem for FA/HHN outfit (with both clot and misdirection shutting out our game plan) - however Erics deck has big problems when faced with multiple Big Barriers as recycling the propellers/pelangis eats into their simulchips which they need for clot threat. Propellor can break Chiyashi/Bulwark 1ce without support, and 3x Border control can mean we can just score out in a server if they try to clot lock us. (Faced 2 Lats on the day and won this way vs both)

Another issue Lat poses is that they don't have to run very often - so getting bad pub off our ice can be trickier - no worries - we'll just build blocks out a bulwark or 2 to speed things up!

Hoshiko - Can be hit with HHN but only if you are forcing them to spend money breaking ice - Bankhar being a big issue here - So we'll run him under a Bus to stop that issue whilst advancing our FA ability. We'll also play a magnet to help with Botuli

Esa - Can usually be hit with HHN fairly consistently - See above for anti anarch tech, oh and did I mention that we are playing a Tithonium as anti botulus tech also!

419 - and other crims I wasn't too worried about as I have FA win con and can pop back from 0 with TBTF - also Building blocks can be very helpful in the matchups enabling turn 1 Rashida jams and ability to push out faster behind ice that is very safe vs Turtle (did I mention that 5 of our ice have some anti AI synergy and that we are playing a copy of Mavirus).

Deck worked perfectly on the day. I have videos of the games which i will upload once I've had a chance to edit them properly. in the meantime - catch me playing this list on stream here: https://youtube.com/live/gpfK_zX6Rzs

Thanks to my opponents on the day - TheRobin, Xiaat, The King and AugustusCaesar!
