uncontrolled au co (28th EMEA)

i don't recommend getting food poisoning the night before main event.

I played this because it straightforwardly wins games and I wanted to not have to think too hard during my corp games while trying to prove a point with Seb in my runner games. this was a mistake.

the big problem here is that I remained stubborn and on a fairly unrefined list that doesn't have any unconditional economy (hansei reviews) that is worth a damn, so it is wholly dependent on cohorts sticking. also I didn't get on the whitespace train despite thinking about it in my UK nats writeup. sad.

in the games i remember (the ones i lost), my cohorts did not stick. i particularly remember an extremely overheated and exhausted game vs not_yeti where we were clearly both utterly suffering where he simply ran my shit with a fracter out, clicking for credits otherwise with the Principia chain going, that drained the life from me. I think this was the least in-control I have ever felt of a netrunner game.

this was very much type 2 fun. thanks not_yeti for that game I did genuinely enjoy it. but that's the sort of thing that will just happen without the spicy bonus pieces that people who brought better decks to the event brought.

the BITWs didn't do anything, use Matt's agendas suite of 3 SHTR one longevity serum or davz's of two regenesis instead.

i had some travel catastrophes but they're less funny written down so simply imagine a journey where a lot of things went wrong. thank you to everybody involved, particularly zack and max from the midlands crew who helped attempt to unfuck those plans at short notice.

The attack is quite realistic jacksmith.
