Pre-rotation decklist |
This deck went 4-2 on the day , losing to a Titan ToL Fast Advance , and Saetzero's Gagarin ( http://www.netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/49405/stupid-15-hb-influence-gagarin-deck-1st-5-1-trotta-s-sc- ) in our playoff. It won against Punitive Palana , ASA Fast Advance , Saetzero's Gagarin , and Jinja Grid AoT.
I was looking to build against CTM , Palana Glacier/Punitive , and have game against any Asset Spammy deck (like Gagarin). I was perfectly fine going into a coinflip matchup against Modern Titan FA decks as I was not expecting to see much of that.
Wu allows you to build any sort of setup deck and have great consistency doing so. Wu also leverages her ability early to prevent any corps from playing a non-FA strategy against you. Because of this , games tend to go into deeper turns , favoring a 'rig' deck moreso. Considering this , I went into nexus. The way that corps had to play against nexus decks in the past was to get under them and look to score out before Nexus was established. Wu's ability prevents to the corp from being able to effectively use that strategy , so building this seemed natural to me.
The gameplan is simple. Get Opus turn 1 unless you're against Titan FA , then you get Equivocation and hope to snag an atlus early. Since the SC , I've made edits (that I'll get into later) that allow me to have a much better game against Titan FA. After you get your Opus , get into Rabbit Hole and Nexus. Standard Nexus stuff from then out.
Why Peace over Stimhack ? There are many instances where you don't want to lose a card in your hand due to brain damage. I've had many games where I had both Rabbit hole and Nexus in hand and couldn't risk losing either to the brain damage. Peace is still 9 credits for a click , the credits are more flexible , and you won't risk cards in your hand for it. Giving the corp 5 credits winds up not mattering in the long run if you're using your 9 credits to install nexus or rabbit holes and just bypassing their ice. Plus , peace works well with BKC.
LLDS is left over from having stimhack in the deck. However , the complete rig in the deck wants 6mu , and having another card that gives link to turn on Underworld Contacts before Nexus and Rabbit hole is a nice plus. The +1 hand size helps when you're digging for a piece of your setup , or letting an earthrise draw you cards. +1 hand size = 2 extra credits per turn with earthrise.
I've since changed the deck to deal with more Titan FA. Changes are :
-1 Peace , -1 Power Tap , -2 Modded , -1 Magnum Opus , -1 Citadel , -1 Misdirection
+1 Clot , +2 Artist Colony , +3 Fan Site , +1 Traffic Jam.
Deck has some legs. We'll see where this archetype winds up going forward. Feels tier 1.5 , with tier 1 potential.

The deck is indeed slow .. but Wu leverages her ability to cause corps to go slower. So you have to know when to change your focus from building up your rig , to being reactive to the corp's board state. That's a tough nuance to get down (and I still fail at it myself). The biggest issue with this deck right now is the fact that it doesn't have Film Critic , which is the most important restricted card in the game right now. |
This is maybe 4 cards off a list I put together yesterday; great minds :) I love the list and the feeling of using Wu "fairly". But I feel like I am terrible at playing my own deck. Any thoughts on how to improve play? The issue seems to be that in some matchups it is just slow. The whole link side of the deck seems irrelevant in certain matchups, and that's a lot of "dead" cards. Do I just MOpus and run with traditional breakers? My main list difference is using Cyberdelias instead of Diamonds.
