This deck utilises the power of the Professional Contacts/event economy engine to assemble a stealth rig as quickly as possible and as precisely as possible.
D4vid and Clot allow you to answer aggressive strategies such as Oversight AI and Curtain Wall or fast advance.
Scavenge and Clone Chip give you reach and recursion into the lategame, whilst Modded gives you access to R&D Interface and Cerberus "Lady" H1 without losing too much tempo.
The Maker's Eye and R&D Interface are the lategame threat, whilst Indexing helps you to present early game threat or get into Jinteki R&Ds without too much threat.

Thanks for the thoughts HQ pressure is definitely something I'm interested in adding in. It would probably be a Nerve Agent or Interface - I've found Legwork isn't as impactful for the influence as those two cards, even given the stealth issue with making multiple runs a turn. In terms of Indexing - it's just a one of, and it's fine to discard it late if there are multiple ICE on R&D. Early, or against Jinteki though, it's great. Parasite without 'suckers seems a bit slow for my taste, but I can see that it has some utility still. |

Makes sense and actually agree with you on Legwork given Kate's ability. The PE angle is not something I thought about and is a solid reason (who doesn't like to beat PE?). Just as comparison, linked to a build I took to 4 store championships (2nd four times, poor Kate) . It's heavier on stealth pieces but has less ability to make huge R&D digs via Maker's eye. Switchblade is something I went back and forth on but went dagger for the, imho, quicker setup due to only needing 1 stealth source to start safely facechecking. Testing out symmetric visage over Pro-co now just to see if the smaller tempo hit (and more utility in drawing mid-to-late) is worth the loss of multiple times a round. Win rate is only 40% against NEH so that's why moved on but maybe it I put in a clot that could go up. Scrubber was swapped in for stimhack which works much better. ( netrunnerdb.com ) |
I find the Indexing to be anti-synergistic with Stealth as when servers get 3 deep on R&D (and many corps will), you might not have stealth to run it twice. Especially with only 3 sources of re-usable stealth.
D4v1d is a great card, but as a Stealth Kate player myself I find a parasite more useful to get rid of the taxing but low strength ice (NeXT Silver, etc. ). Depends on how much Blue Sun in your meta I guess. Modded + Cerebus + 7 credits can give you answer to Oversight AI which is not as efficient as D4v1d but will do. With clone chips + parasites on board, can cut down on most still-taxing-with-stealth ice That would free 2 influence for some HQ pressure -- HQI or legwork. Or some stimhacks which can be used for tempo plays like stimhack + smc + clone-chip-to-smc which can really make a rig out of nothing.
Also stealth makes for cheap runs, but I have found that Kati is important for a longer game.
Just some random thoughts.
