I brought this deck to OMG Games' season 1 tournament on the 31st of May. We did 4 rounds of Swiss, and this deck won 3/4 of its games. The idea is that it is obviously taxing, and all of the agendas cost credits to steal.
In the agenda department, there isn't much of a choice with the selection, but Utopia Fragment will eventually take the place of a Future Perfect. The Interns will then become Fast Tracks, and the deck will be even stronger. Anyway, I lost one game with it (my only loss that day), and it was honestly due to terrible piloting. An earlier build made it to top 8 in another season 1 tourney, but the ICE has been changed greatly since.
Last note: The 1-of Grim did so much work, it was worth running along side NAPD.

Thanks for the advice/reply. I've been very back-and-forth on the whole Red Herrings/Ash inclusion in this deck. I find that, at least in competitive play, 5 credits (plus whatever it costs to steal initially) is too big of a cost for most runners. I also like how it stacks and only costs 2 credits to add a tax of 10. But Ash certainly has it's benefits as well. I used to run Komainu in here, but I found that there isn't enough punishment for running on it with a low card count. Getting by it once for 0-2 credits was enough to make me take it out. I appreciate the feedback, though. The interns were a stand-in while Utopia Fragment is not out, but it's been so helpful I can't imagine parting with it the more I play my deck |

This deck looks awesome and I'm enjoying testing. A few questions if you wouldn't mind. -Where do you put Caprice in various matchups? -how worried are you about Atman on 4? -do you often ice Econ assets like sundew? -what made you not use positional ice like inazuma? |

1) Caprice is usually placed in a remote. I know that makes it very vulnerable to S&W but Interns is there for that reason. In RP, I find that it is the best place for her, but I'll pop her on a central if there's a keyhole, or something like that. 2) I am incredibly worried about Atman strength 4. My meta doesn't have too much of this, so I don't run into this issue too often. My response to Atman decks is to play a little faster. Atman doesn't require much money once its set up, but it still needs a chunk of cash to get started. Since all of my agendas cost money to steal, if I play a little faster, it's hard to keep up. However, this is definitely a weak spot of the deck. 3) Sundew is amazing in RP and everybody knows it. 19 ICE is more than I usually run with, so I'm very comfortable icing up Sundew. I don't ever ICE up Mental Health Clinic, unless I'm against Whizzard. Really, though, it depends on the pace of the game. A poor runner won't trash an unprotected Sundew, because that creates a scoring window for me. But as a general rule, try icing it if you can. 4) Inazuma and Chum are both taxing, but delaying a non-yog code gate is absolutely crucial for this deck. not breaking RSVP means nothing can be stolen. They can have 15 credits and 5 tokens on medium, but if they can't break RSVP, I don't really care. So, if they see an inazuma or a chum, they know to get their CG breaker. At the S1 |

At the S1 tourney that I brought this to, I found that some people don't realize that every agenda costs money to steal, because Nisei MK is so popular in RP, so they don't even bother grabbing their code gate. Have fun seeing that Fetal :P Last note, I am currently testing it with Ash instead of Red Herring. The change isn't crucial but I am enjoying it more solely because its more of a hassle to trash. Cheers, and gl testing |
Seems similar to a deck I run as well, may I suggest swapping Red Herrings for Ash, as it allows you to fully prevent a steal as long as you have more money, and it trashes for 3 instead of 1 if they manage to break your RSVP. I also really like Komainu instead of Tsurugi, I know it dies to parasite, and has no option to ETR, but can be even more taxing when used with Mental Health Clinic. I may also urge you to keep Interns around since its sooo good with Sundew, and Future Perfects/NAPD's you ditch into archives.
