The author of the original deck wrote that he placed second in a tournament with a Professor. I had to try this out.
I made a handful of modifications to suit my preferences more. I've thrown in Net-Ready Eyes, Morning Star and Study Guide and it seemed to work pretty well. Study guide might still go, since its super expensive to get up to speed, but other than that the deck is very solid to play.
The beauty of Professor has always been the ability to respond to what your opponent is playing in a surprisingly flexible way. Being able to tutor and reuse the programs that are the most effective for the current match-up proves to be a very good strategy.
The key is figuring out what that is at any given time :)
