Nasir, Cyber Engineer (v.2)

CJFM 2270

Some alterations to an earlier deck. Savoir-faire allows for bursty draw-run turns with Sahasrara to help install. Want to fit in Cyberfeeders. Atmans are for sentries and Engineering can be treated as a money card in this deck. Might need another indexing or some Maker's Eye to force a rez.

I'm thinking Djinn here...could tutor for it, then use it to tutor for Parasites/Suckers while at the same time, hosting the Sahasraras. If there was a way to fit that combo in, I'd go for it. IMO, it'd make this deck so...SO...much more disgusting, at least on paper. :D

@esutter479 Thanks for the suggestion! I don't mind Djinn in concept (being able to easily tutor for Parasite/Sucker is better since you can then slap them down with Savoire-fair, but what to cut? I could go down to 2 Parasites, potentially. Another in-faction alternative is Leprechaun for hosting, though it does not offer the same flexibility as Djinn. You may be on to something though! I'll see how it plays tonight!

I think getting another clone chip works better than another Parasite. I feel like SMC/Clone Chip would be enough to get out 1of battering ram and gordian, so thats 2 slots that can be used for something else, but I'm guessing the 2of is to synergize better with Savoir, since you need more options in hand for that.

@AsteriskCGY I agree with the point on Parasite/clone chip. Some things that came up last night in testing: memory is tight, even with Toolbox/Cyber Mem Chip. Rook might need to become Xanadu again. Sahasrara + Savoire-faire is good if you can draw your Raras. Spending a CMC to tutor for Rara feels bad, when you want to be using them during a run. That said, Rook and Datasucker were both good, Atman is better in Nasir than either Gordian Blade or Ram, and I wished that Kati was MOpus (and that I had the memory for it). Cards I'm considering: Cloak, Scavenge, Leprechaun.

Current anti-synergies: Modded doesn't work well with PW or Savoir-faire, though it was nice to have in hand to just take Kati and power out a Battering Ram. Sort of defeats the purpose of the deck though. Atman doesn't work with Rara for paying for its Power ability. Also, Social Engineering is bad, and it's coming out in the next version.

I figure Atman would be great, for the most part no Ice is going to have more subroutines than it's rez cost, let alone strength above most breakers at 2. I think corroder/Inti just for Wraparound and low ice would be more feasible. I was also thinking about Snitch and Recon, finding out what ice is without forcing an ability trigger. SI I think requires expose to work, so you need either Infiltrates or derezers to make better use of. Also thought of Running Interference, but 4i is a hard call.

Trimaf?

@AsteriskCGY Trimaf is risky and costs influence. I like the idea of Snitch/Recon, but it seems like that would be a different deck altogether. Definitely build it, though!

So the issue with corroder in this is that you can't dump money on it during Approach like you can with Ram and Blade. It's more effective usually, but the influence is spread pretty thin as is... I'll work on it.
