Took this to a GNK and went 3-0.
Managed to triple over-advance a Vitruvius vs Sifr Noise (behind an Assassin/Tollbooth combo) and Bioticed out my 4th 2-pointer vs Leela with 1 card left in R&D. Best feeling was dropping Chum in front of the Heimdall that Leela had just targeted with Femme.
I took the OP's advice and ditched the disposable HQs, subbing Sunsets. Didn't play them, but with Parasite out it was nice having the option to turn Chum or TL:DR back on.

Sunset is a in a flex spot; I'm not 100% sold on it; It didn't see use at all, but is good in theory. AAL in ETF is a 4 credit swing for effectively 0 clicks; it was really nice to bootstrap back from near broke with, and TBH I didn't miss Jackson. I've been playing rush Weyland long enough that I'm starting to come around to @TheBigBoy 's opinion that Jackson can be a crutch. If you do slot Jackson Howard in, I'd also look at snagging Cyberdex Trial from that same pack. Chum on the other hand, did work all day long. Chum in front of Ichi 1.0i or Assassin is scary and then taxing. and it was absolutely an MVP in the game I had against Leela. I had just rezzed Heimdall 1.0 in front of R&D, my opponent (who had no breakers out yet) countered by playing Femme Fatale targeting it, and dropping Chum on top of it stalled him until he could find his Gordian Blade 3 turns later. |
How do you feel with the AAL over Jackson? I think it looks like plenty of economy, and Sunset and Chum just seem so out-of-place.
