Tournament was held on December 10th, 2016, with 24 players, 4 rds. swiss and cut to top 8.
A few weeks prior to this event, I played Nexus Kate in another store champ and got knocked out of the cut by a very strong RP Museum deck that the click-based economy of Magnum Opus couldn't keep up with.
So for this tournament I wanted to play Temujin Whizzard again, but find a way to fit 2 Strike / 2 Slums to shore up against CTM, especially the Door-to-Door Prison builds, and IG54, which I was expecting might make a showing.
I cut Net-Ready Eyes and Rumor Mill for Strikes, then changed a Yog to a Faust and added Black Orchestra to still have a plan against Lotus Field. Because of some games I'd played earlier in the week vs @raphaeln's Tennin deck where he savaged me with DNA Tracker I wanted to keep D4V1D, which turned out to be crucial when I played against @tmoiynmwg's Blue Sun three times on the day. I switched out Earthrise Hotel for Sports Hopper because I was worried about 24/7 Boom decks, but that never really came up. I never installed the Black Orchestra, either, but Timmy says discarding it stopped him from rushing an agenda in one of our games.
Record:
2W-1L in Swiss, beating a Blue Sun and a CTM and losing to Timmy's Blue Sun.
3W-0L in the cut, vs. New Angeles Sol and Timmy's Blue Sun twice more, the second a timed win in a game that could've easily gone the other way.
