Shark Tank v1.21

Previous version

This deck is my own variation on Toomin's N.E.A.R.P.A.D deck.

Only a couple changes, trading the Architect for an extra Snare, and dropping the Marked Accounts for a Melange (for hopefully better early econ) and an extra Data Raven. Also traded the Wall of Static of a Bastion for more taxing, though I suppose it's more vulnerable to a 4-Atman. I could go both ways.

I recommend reading the previous versions to understand how to pilot the deck, but here's the TL;DR:

  • This is a horizontal NEH deck. Install assets and try to use the NEH ability every turn.
  • The primary interaction of this deck uses Dedicated Response Teams. Hide them until they commit to accessing a Snare, TGTBT, or took a Data Raven tag during a run. Probably a third of my wins with this deck are from DRT+Snare dealing 5-9 damage.
  • Data Raven and Snare are pretty standard for tagging, but the unique one here is City Surveillance. Wait until they are poor, and rez as many as you can at the end of your turn.
  • Use License Acquisition to get back trashed assets, as well as Interns.
  • Use Closed Accounts and Reversed Accounts to open up City Surveillance windows
  • Psychographics can fast-advance the Astro-train or win with Beale outright
  • Diversified Portfolio is MVP. It gets me 7-8 credits on average, though I've gotten 15 before with it.

I tried Hostile Infrastructure to counter things that are good at trashing, but I found it was too expensive. I would rather spend that influence on the extra Snare which can get the win. If they are afraid to run remotes, then perhaops they won't run to trash at all...

Do you have any videos of this deck in action, or one like it? I'd like to see it being piloted.

Thank you.

I've just played a few games with this exact list online, and I have 2 questions:

  1. Do you aggressively create many servers, as much as possible, so that when you draw Diversified Portfolio, you are able to get a huge credit lead, and be able to turn on the cards in the servers?
  2. How do you afford to pay for City Surveillance + Dedicated Response Team + threaten the 4 to Snare!?

The PAD Campaign is only a drip economy of 1 per turn (maybe 2 if you can get two on board). Do you find yourself clicking for credits often, or mass installing cards into servers to cash-in on Diversified Portfolio when it's drawn?

    Thank you!

I create lots of servers, usually at least 1, sometimes 2 or 3 per turn. I ICE when necessary, but otherwise it's making servers or clicking for credits. Once I get the first Diversified Portfolio, I usually don't have to worry about credits for the rest of the game due to drip econ and the other Diversified Portfolios later in the deck.

I never rez City Surveillance unless they are very poor. I wait for them to end their turn at 0 or 1 credits, then I rez it at the end of my turn. This surprisingly often coincides with an econ burst from Diversified Portfolio or Melange Mining Corp. Also, I can often force the runner to become poor with Reversed Accounts or Closed Accounts, if they float a tag. With the number of remotes I play, they often are low on credits anyway due to trying to trash things.

Here is a slightly newer version that went undefeated in Swiss at our latest Store Champs: netrunnerdb.com

Wouldn't you say that 2 marked accounts would be more valuable than 1 marked accounts + 1 melange? This is what almost all other high win rate NEARPAD variants that I have seen use.

More valuable than 1 reversed account +.....*
