Celerity, or, pay-it-forward click acceleration

anonymousful 9

This represents my attempt to diversify Hayley's ability by ensuring it can trigger flexibly on a variety of card types. Other decks brainstormed with Hayley in mind have tons of cards of a single type (Replicator! Program storm with Freelance! etc.), but I believe controlling the floor cost of the cards is more important. By making the investment on many of these candidates as close to zero as possible, there is little opportunity cost to playing them. (For example, all-nighter and same old thing). I am confident that with its draw power and raw click efficiency, this deck's econ engine and breaker suite will suffice. 'Fast rig' ought to be Hayley's thing, and this is my attempt. It is a consciously modest, low-gimmick attempt to make Hayley feel like Kate's older, slightly more suave sister archetype.

Saving a click installing any of these four cards means more 'free' actions down the road: clone chip, SMF, same old thing (two instead of three clicks total to repeat an event), all-nighter (clicks for a rainy day).

And suave it is, in certain cases. One can Quality Time on the very first hand and still play four cards (and this deck is designed to make such openings not just possible but likely). Snatch that nine-card tiara right off Andromeda's head.

I am unsure on two counts:

1) defensive measures are limited to a single plascrete and deus x. the latter I feel better about, what with recursion and tutors galore, but I might want to somehow make room for Steelskin post O&C. Net Shield too, potentially. The rumours that we'll be seeing Chronos somewhere in the SanSan Cycle terrify me.

2) I want to have more multi-access/diverse means of long-term pressure. This would mean scrapping D4vid, but the possible synergy with Scheherazade-Shop is so juicy what with recursion. D4vid is mostly a meta-call to handle Blue Sun.

Earlier versions tried to include Magnum Opus but I ended up disliking it. Armitage replaced it and rounds out my arsenal of dirt-cheap resources. As an exhaustible resource, I can justify running multiple copies of Armitage in order to see it both earlier and continuously. Also, MU.

Clot will be an auto-include once it comes out. I think clot will be scariest in Shapers because of their versatility when it comes to tutors/recursion.

I'm not sure where to fit Mimic in, but I felt compelled to prioritize Corroder over it. The Diesels feel wasteful, as do the extra copies of Aesop's, but the bones of my project feel solid.

i like the idea of Scheherazade and Cache in Hayley. both are low influence too. as you said, I think D4v1d is your flex spot, and an influence spot, too. you may find Lady is enough to handle Blue Sun. if you're not having trouble with big Barriers, that D4v1d frees up 4 influence. do you think Parasite has any place in here? SMC it on Corp turn gives you an install, although maybe you won't have many programs in hand generally.

this really does look like an honest, no-frills Hayley list, and a potentially strong framework!

I know D4v1d helps with Archer. Faerie recursion is a possibility, too... is Sharpshooter too gimmicky?
