The abscence of odour.

The first thing I noticed when I starting working here was the smell. Or rather I should say, the complete lack of smell. There was nothing. Not even the smell of cleaning products. I joked once about it. I said it made the tube ride home even worse. Next thing I know I'm being asked if I want my olfactory system removed or would I prefer a promotion. I chose the promotion. The work is pretty much the same but I don't catch the tube anywhere now. I don't go home. I don't sleep. I don't eat. I don't miss those things but I wonder if I would if my programming allowed me to.
