Dice Age Games Store Championships: PDX area, 20 players, 1st place: Mattastrophic's Catastrophe
Live fast, die young. This deck is all about hitting the Corporation early and building as much momentum as possible. Account Siphon, Wanton Destruction, Utopia Shard, and Keyhole are MaxX's tools for smashing their game. Day Job, Sure Gamble, and Liberated Account are for building up credits quickly while the Corporation recovers. Knifed, Forked, and Spooned combine with Eater to destroy taxing ICE. Hades Shard, preferably after a mega-turn of Keyhole runs fueled by Amped Up, can close out the game. And Deja Vu, Same Old Thing, and Retrieval Run are what turn MaxX's trashing ability into an advantage.
This deck moves fast. Put the pressure on early and only let up to play Day Job, Liberated Account, and Same Old Thing. The real challenge is maintaining a large enough credit pool to play whatever MaxX's ability draws her each turn, so she can keep building her momentum. If she slows down for too long, the Corporation can build up well enough to keep her from wrecking things. Where a Shaper can safely build up for an R&D deep dig, and a Criminal can have a power-turn of Account Siphon, Emergency Shutdown, Inside Job, and Legwork, here MaxX really needs to keep the pressure on and prevent the Corporation from getting set up. Levy AR Lab Access is there for after her stack has been emptied; if she has to use it, it means that she's already lost momentum and will have a hard time winning the game, so it shouldn't be depended on.

Damn you for getting your O&C cards before me! Seriously though, congrats on the win. :) I know I'm gonna be trying this out someday. |

Do you think it might be worth it to drop down to 1 AS and run x2 planned assault? Seems alright since you are packing cutlery. But having x2 AS is probably the better move. |

Hmm... I like the idea of using Planned Assault to pull Account Siphon, Knifed, Forked, or Spooned. But between the anti-synergy with Wanton Destruction and with MaxX's ability, my initial reaction is that Planned Assault would belong in a different deck. That was a good idea to mull over, though! |

Fortunately for Matt he didn't face my RP deck with Swordsman, Will-o'-the-Wisp, and most devastating of all, Cerebral Static. |
There were a couple MaxX decks at that tourney that wrecked face. The one with the Doubles and Power Naps was similarly very well put together. Grats on the win =)
