This Reina decklist was suggested by a friend and heavily inspired (stolen) from Old-Revolutionary Reina. It aims to play some 'fair' netrunner, with some unfair cards sprinkled in.
Security Nexus combined with high link and bad pub makes a lot of ice very cheap to get through. Reina's ability combined with Hernando Cortez and Mining Accidents help stop a lot of Ice being rezzed. The rest of the cards are just draw and money with a handful of tech cards sprinkled in. I removed Feedback Filter as I did not expect a lot of Jinteki, and this was the right call with only 1 person playing it on the day.
Reina dropped one game on the day, though it was a super close game with both our Corp decks squeaking out wins when they really shouldn't have.
First game vs NBN - Sync Tag Punishment
I Quickly built my link and got managed to get to 4 bad pub, making most of their ice easy to walk through with Nexus and the heap breakers to support. I could not find my Turning Wheel at all, so a lot of my runs were single access as I locked the remote.
Citadel Sanctuary was my savoir, especially as Sync managed to score out a cheeky naked AR-Enhanced Security early game. It let me float a tag each turn when trashing things, and with 4 link and all the money, Sync could not hope to beat the trace and so their ID ability was never relevant. Sync played to all their outs and held out nearly to time, until Turning Wheel was found and did it's thing.
Second game vs Titan Fast Advance
I have no answer to Fast Advance, and knew this was a bad match-up. I managed to find and kill 2 CVS early game and then install my Turtle. Seeing this, Titan Priority Constructed a piece of Ice and installed behind it. Expecting a Hortum and the first Project Atlas for the incoming train, I did the maths and was able to surprise them with the Nexus and get in.
This gave me some breathing room, but Titan were soon able to Trick of Light an Atlas and get itself to 6 points thanks to a second Atlas and 2 Hostile Takeovers.
I had once again found my elusive turning wheel, and stole the last Hostile Takeover whilst making the corp go broke in the process. I also so an audacity on this run, and knew it was over. From 1 credit Atlas was able to search for the last Atlas, and you know the rest. A really excellent game, and the Atlas player commented that they think they lost a good few years of their life due to stress.
Third game - BoN Fast Advance
I got set up really fast in this game, and crucially found my Turning Wheel early.
I also drew into all 3 I've Had Worse and used BoN's ability to help my draw (though I was silly and lost a Rebith along the way) whilst farming an Ice Wall for turning wheel counters. I managed to kill 2 Reconstruction Contracts which really hampered his chances of fast advancing.
BoN made a risky play and Priority Constructed an Asteroid Belt out on the scoring remote and installed a card behind it with no money left. I didn't want to risk potentially leaving the last Reconstruction Contract on the board, so I ran and they attempted to rez the Asteroid Belt for free, until I reminded them I was Reina. I then got in and stole a Global Foods, followed by a 6 card Turning Wheel dig on R&D for the win.
Thanks to everyone at the York Store Champ at OG Games for all the fun games, and it was a beautiful sight to see the Top 4 all Weyland.
