I wish I could run Scavenge in addition to the Clone Chip, but sadly I don't have the influence. This is a combo deck - my goal is to get the rig on the table. I rarely have a spare program to trash, so Clone Chip is generally better. It's very common for T1 to be Clone Chip, gain a credit, install Magnum Opus from heap. |

Aaah, I see. This is not at all how I expected to play this deck. Thanks for the insight! |

Welcome! I don't write guides for decks "in progress" so I understand the confusion. The gist with this MaxX build is that you want Progenitor + Hivemind, Magnum Opus, Darwin, and VBG. Between that and Parasite/D4v1d recursion you can threaten the remote while running R&D with huge Mediums. With a good draw you end up with an amazing rig and tons of economy thanks to the Opus. Unfortunately with a bad draw you just sit there and cry o_O Still work to be done on this. |
Have you considered Scavenge instead of Clone Chip? With Progenitor and Hivemind/Darwin, it simply seems like a better splash.
