They couldn't make this start with a power counter? It's like they don't want Rigging Up to save 3 credits and give a power counter to anything anymore(only Atman and Hyperbaric in Standard). I understand that cards printed before the charge mechanic(if it has a power counter, it can gain more) were introduced (in the Midnight Sun Set) and wouldn't start with power counters, but this came after.

As for being a fracter, it's fine? It's roughly Corroder equivalent after you include the bypasses. bypass is a thing for some card synergy. might help with a big barrier.

The last review was from 2017, so we need a (system) update:

Lotus Field came out (again) in System Update 2021. I can't speak for standard format, but in startup and gateway, it's text is relevant only versus Chisel(since rotated out of Startup), Leech, and Ice Carver. It's a strong counter to the Buzzsaw decoder(without K2CP Turbine), but other than that, it's overpriced. Botulus or hyperbaric break it startlingly easy for costing 5 to rez.

The expected credits saved if the runner could reduce Lotus Field 4 to 3 strength: Abaasy: 2; Buzzsaw: 3; Everything else: 0-1.

I don't think people would pay influence for it. Even jinteki players aren't running it. Wait until runners have new tools that require low strength ICE like Chisel did.

Now if the text also said that decoders can't boost their own strength while encountering this ICE, and the ETR became "the runner chooses to ETR or take 2 net damage" it would be a whole different story.
