[startup] in defense of RH (8th @ GLC Startup CO, 3-2)

Nephralite 15

A friend of mine once argued that startup RH is bad because all RH decks would be better if they were PE. I'd like to take a moment to declare this untrue.

  1. Punitive needs us to print buckets of cash to be richer than criminals, and maintaining a glacier is expensive
  2. Nanisivik wants facedown cards in Archives, so we were gonna fulfill RH anyway
  3. RH had the third highest WR as an ID in the Startup CO, behind R+ and Ob)

This deck is fairly well honed, and props to the standard deck SnaRH! for the inspiration, I've played about a hundred games on Jnet and it sit at a ~65% WR, though I reckon it'd go a bit higher if there was more time before rotation, especially since i lost the first 10 games while working out how to play it.

I then proceeded to forget to add a third Nanisivik in before submitting this for the Startup GLC CO (my first tournament!), alongside my fun but worse Esa deck, still managing to come 8th by going 3-1 before getting swept in the first round of the top cut. All 3 wins were flatlines amusingly, mostly because Nanisivik is amazing at being a Snare.

Sadly Regensis and Nanisivik rotating mean that RH will be unplayable again, so I'm going to need to think up a new corp for next rotation.
