Gagarin Galactic v0.4.5

I play this extremely horizontal, it's not uncommon to have 5-6 remotes out at a time (hopefully including all the PAD Campaign). The focus should be on getting The Root out early and protected it with an Ice Wall, anything you do with it will be extremely helpful. Don't worry if it's trashed, it will cost them lots to do so.

Once rez'd The Root does work, use it to advance the cosmic ice, pay to install more layers of ice and advancing agendas. But the most efficient use of it has to be GRNDL Refinery. Advancement is free with the Root and nets you more in the long run. Plus, GRNDL looks like an agenda, especially if you run it out of your scoring server.

The best counter so far as been to deny this deck of The Root, however, at 4 to trash + 1 Space Tax, it hurts the runner to be getting rid of everything (expect for Whizzard: Master Gamer, his ability really does some work against this).

Generally, I will leave all other assets free of ICE, you really need them for the Centrals and the space tax is usually enough to mentally put your opponent off trashing anything. As for he upgrades, Ash 2X3ZB9CY and Red Herrings, they all go in the same scoring server. Recently, I've found myself holding onto Red Herrings until there is actually an agenda in there as is the cheapest server item to trash at 2 cost (1 + 1 space tax). Ash 2X3ZB9CY however, is probably the thing that helps the most. I've even Ash'd a GRNDL Refinery and made them go through 2 lays of ICE twice before. Very strong card on its own but Gagarin Deep Space: Expanding the Horizon is the icing on the cake.

The latest revision has added Punitive Counterstrike after I saw it being used to great effect during the IQ Gaming Store Championships. Since then all the Project Atlas and Executive Boot Camp and replaced with The Cleaners and added more ETR ICE, specifically Tyrant. Being able to IAA a 5/3 with two Punitive Counterstrike in hand is a very powerful move.
