I have a GNK coming up in a week, (https://www.facebook.com/events/260786994306712/ for folks in the Atlanta area), and we are only using the core and deluxe sets. This is an attempt to make a kill deck using those restrictions. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

News Teams are not bad traps for getting tags. It also fires from the Archives so ok against people running there for sucker tokens, although, if the opponent knows your gameplan is to just kill them they'll probably take the -1 point.
I also think adding some Enigmas for ice type variety would be a good idea. They may not be the best but they are usable, particularly in Weyland who don't have have good code gates to begin with.
Traffic Accidents will be hard to pull off, I think, as you don't have much in the way of getting multiple tags on the runner in one go. Maybe think about replacing that with something else? If there's no Carapace around, then SEA source to scorch + private security force should be more than enough.
