It's past your bedtime (5th/30 Manchester SC)

Angedelo 1377

Tired of runners staying up late and messing with your best laid plans? Then this is the deck for you! Simply land 4 brain damage then send them to bed with an enforced curfew.

Always be mushining, no-one wants to run a 4 advanced card against cybernetics. Get an elective scored nice and early and then start mind gaming your opponent into running traps, or just score out when they're too afraid to run them.

Never ice a remote, just protect your centrals as much as possible. Black level clearance behind Fairchild 3.0 is pretty annoying for runners to deal with and can buy you a turn or 2 to mushin something else. Beware of rebirth into Omar.

Why no Neural EMP? Because that would be sensible and I really wanted to kill people with enforced curfew. Especially people who think they're safe with feedback filter.

If you mushin a reconstruction contract you can score an elective from hand which is nice. Gene splicer can get you a point if they don't run it, or get you a turn of no running on centrals if they do. Your worst nightmare is runners just hammering centrals (especially with turning wheel) and indexing sucks obviously.

Final thoughts: this deck is pretty dumb, don't play it if you want to win consistently, but it's fun to play shell game nonsense every now and then. If I could change anything in hindsight it would be to cut the executive functioning for a good card, probably 2 more Fairchild 2.0s. And yeah probably neural emp. And probably snare!

But anyway if efficient, dull as dishwater Vals and Hayleys are ruining your fair corp decks and you don't want to play degenerate stuff, try mushin.

11/10 nonsense, strong meme game on the day, would panic and run a cerebral overwriter again

I was consistently bamboozled by the cards in this deck. Down with this sort of thing.

Gains extra points for the most Mushin's ever played in a game against me - and an excellent turn which was 'Mushin this card out, vitruvius counter for Mushin, Archived Memories for Mushin'. Or something. I want to know what was in your hand when you said 'I can tell that Seamus is walking away from this game in disgust'. Good game!

It was when he drew Reconstruction Contract.

Been running something similar for a while, but with Mythic Ice and Loki to catch anyone without an AI. I've liked the idea of Back Channels for a cash injection instead of IPO. I've been looking at swapping to regular Ice so I'll give this list a go for a starter.

Been running something similar, but with Mythic Ice and Back Channels for econ. Definitely interested using a regular Ice suite, so I'll be giving this list a go!

Did Executive Functioning ever do anything?

@Celephaishs sounds cool, I did think about mythic only but didn't have time to really tune the ice suite before the tournament.

Which leads me onto @whirrun the answer is no, executive functioning did nothing all day, I would have far preferred another 2 Fairchild 2.0s

Deck never struggled for cash all day because mushin is a great economy card, so maybe I could afford some even beefier ice protection, not sure what though.

Tapestry is a pain for indexing runs, could be an idea if you are rich.

@Oooer I do love me a bit of tapestry... just usually only in Jinteki or when I need another 1inf HB card to get Jeeves for free.

To be honest I should probably have Brainstorm in here, just to punish any facecheckers. Plus it's still a decent tax once they've got a breaker, as long as I can afford to rez it.

Does Ryon Knight have a home here? or nah

Ryon Knight and Defective Brainchips definitely have a home here. Not sure what Reconstruction Contract is doing here though if its only companion is Show of Force. Definitely a waste of 4 influence imo.

Ah I see, I missed the Mushin No Shin with Reconstruction Contract. Damn that's 10 influence lol.

12 Feb 2018 Angedelo

@thebriarfoxI don't like Ryon Knight, that ability is so conditional it never fires, people tend to not run last click against decks that are trying to hurt them...

@BlackCherries yeah the reconstruction contract is mostly just for fun, this is hardly a tuned and optimised tier 1 deck. It does offer a few fun interactions though: score a 5/3 from hand, turn a 4 cerebral hit into a 7 hit, turn an unadvanced cerebral into 3 brain damage, occasionally score a show of force from hand at the same time as scoring one from the table for 4 meat damage. Like I say, not efficient top tier stuff but pretty fun.
