What do you typically do to try and figure out the correct Salem target? Do you just throw a guess out into the blue so you can see your hand and then use a second one to get what you want?

@VixinXiviir If I have 2 Salem's, sure I'll do that. Otherwise you just gotta take a look at their discard and figure out what they might be holding. If you land tags early, resources might build up in hand. In Round 1 I saw a d4v1d early against Noise. Then I got him in tag hell and let him keep Wyldside. Salem's for 2 d4v1ds and Scorch ftw.

Against Siphon? You just salem it?

@alientoyshop Am I right in saying that the only other good target for 24/7 news cycle is The Future is Now? Using it on Profiteering is just a troll move isn't it as you would only get the 3 bad pub part of the deal?

@Bestialterata If at all possible yes. And ice HQ if you've got it. You just have to pretend you're a real corp for long enough. Special Offer can also soften the blow on an Account Siphon a great deal. In my first game in top 8, I was up against Andy, and I did Localized Product Line for 3 Sweeps Week. That'll help!

@RedV I'm fairly sure you can do Profiteering?

@yokaze Never saw it! Also barely ever saw it in testing. I kept it in mind when overdumping in archives, but mostly I didn't worry about it. Scoring a Breaking News or 15 Minutes out of hand was my answer to it I guess.

@RedV Eh, who cares about Bad Pub when the runner gets through basically all the ICE for free anyhow, and the only thing for them to trash are the 3 Jacksons.

No SEA Source to deal with a pesky film critic?

@tomdidiot I tried it and didn't use it much, so I switched it to a second 24/7 (which won me several games).

Is this a deck where it would be worth going down to 45 cards? If you can find 4 cards you don't consider necessary, you could find the cards you want (i.e. Midseasons, Scorch) faster. With Haarpischord's ability, the fact the agenda density is slightly higher isn't a big deal.

What about 2 targeted marketing instead of 2 restructure? Salem - easily guess what the runner wants to play - gain 10 - and you have a current to play against strike...

@LeonardQuirm Great question! It's entirely possible, certainly worth testing. The Pop-up Windows were probably the weakest link, other than that I don't know what I'd cut.

@Bestialterata It certainly crossed my mind, especially with the possible synergy with Salem's. My concern was that 17 agendas probably doesn't combo so hot with currents. Never tested it though!

Played it yesterday against Kate and Reina siphon...first game he didn't see film critic and was scorched turn 3, second and third game carapace and film critic ruined my day. Against Reina I salem'd his first siphon but wasn't able to trash his 3 Same old and got siphoned before I could do anything and lost one agenda a turn. Plus he had a carapace. So, I made some changes to the deck and got it ready to test next time. My friend who plays Reina helped me. Basically if they see a carapace and you got no money you can't midseason them and you can't scorch 3 times. If they see film critic you lose 2 agenda a turn. I'm trying these changes: -3 anonymous tip +3 sensie actors union -1 midseasons +1 snatch and grab -2 TGTBT -2 award bait +2 psychographics +2 project beale -2 restructure +2 targeted marketing. TL:DR if you can't scorch them, just score a 7 point Beale.

@BestialterataI agree, I was left wanting after taking this to a game night. I would have easily won had I been packing beales and psycho, but alas, I was not.

If I cut the Localised Product Line because of the MWL changes how much does this deck loose? Is that the correct call?
