Yellow Mittens v1.0

It's the night before the tournament. I finally made the decision to retire my taxing HB/NBN only Purple Sweaters deck, but had no idea where to go from there. I consider not going to the tournament, and instead just getting cross faded and sleeping in, when after my third bottle of Olde School I remember I promised to drive someone to and from the tournament. This is what I built in a few hours that night. It ended up going 4-1 (the one loss was to a very competent Gabe veteran playing an aggressive Leelah) in a pretty tough meta winning me third place, but don't play this yet. Actually don't look at this, stop reading.

I figure the standard NEH skeleton of agendas and econ assets provides a pretty solid cornerstone for a taxing/midseasons deck, but when you throw shell corp behind a solid wall of ice the economy gets to the point where you can consistently rez those high cost ice without Shoot The Moon when you need to.

SanSan was honestly the weakest link the entire day and in every subsequent test play I had done, but I'd probably miss it if I removed it.

Ash can score you that sweet 3 point beale at the best of times and let you get out an NAPD at the absolute worst.

The ice spread needs some major adjustments, the wraparounds and single quandry were mostly there to make me feel better about running massive bioroids. Tollbooths were easily the backbone of my games where I never got to hit off Shoot The Moon, but that's not to say I never had the ability to hard rez a Janus on someone.

All in all this deck needs some serious work done, but I think it's a decent start given it's origins.

Interesting! No Jackson Howard and no Daily Business Show? With 11 agendas and a 'combo' deck, this does seem ballsy...

Besides, your ice mix means that you're unlikely to be able to defend both HQ and R&D in the first and second turns (with ice you can rez, I mean). Was it an issue during your tests/tournament matches?

Another question: how much did you usually put on Shell Corp? 9 creds? More than that?

Apart from that, any deck with shoot the moon is an awesome deck in my book :D

Yeah, to be honest the lack of Jackson and DBS was entirely accidental and I didn't notice it until I was writing my deck lists the day of. In future versions of this deck I'll probably throw in 2 or 3 Jackson and then test to see if DBS is a better fit.

As for my ice mix, yeah it's kind of a mess. It hasn't actually been as bad as it seems like it could be outside of having Leelah completely make me spiral out of control, but I just haven't tested with it enough to say where I should head with the ice from here.

As for Shell Corp it depends on what ice it's behind. If it's behind an early tollbooth and they aren't Shaper I usually put nine and if I'm feeling randy as high as twelve, but when I think they can get in I rarely go above six.
