Pre-rotation decklist |
Something I've been working on for the past week. The main thing this deck does well is to tax runners who generally have decent matchups against RP: Leela, Stealth Andromeda, and MaxX (reg or otherwise). I saw Dydra's list today which you an find here, and that prompted me to post my list. I don't really like his, but it's whatever.
RP is insanely taxing as it is, but it gets better with Bandwidth. Generally, decks like this play Enhanced Login Protocol, which forces the runner to spend clicks when making ghost runs on the centrals. Bandwidth is an ice-based ELP. It is difficult to break (4 with gordian blade, 5 with Zu) and if it triggers it forces the runner to clear the tag or 1) lose their resources or 2) get closed accounts'd.
Bandwidth is amazing. But you have to build around it. Bandwidth --> Crisium Grid reads "Take a tag and either spend the click and 2 to shake the tag, or trash crisium and THEN shake the tag". Bandwith --> Caprice is stupid good. 1/3 chance to go home broke and take a tag? Sure. Hunter is Bandwidth #4, and usually goes over archives. Leela absolutely HATES Hunter.
Tollbooth + Ashigaru are your RND ice. Lotus Field is for remotes. Quandary goes over an early Sundew or Jackson. Tsurugi and Komainu are your central ice. Generally, you force the runner to just sit back and get credits. That way you can just score your Niseis and Future Perfects as soon as you find your first Caprice or Ash.
(I tried out the Scorch plan, but it was too heavy on influence. I prefer Closed Accounts.)
Anyway, I'm running this in the invitational. I'll let you know how I do.

Really like Bandwidth in this build of RP. I was initially disappointed that you couldn't do much with the tagging (like you said with Scorched Earth), but then I realized that if they keep the tags around, not only can you trash Kati Jones for late game, but you can disrupt just about any Runner resource, which us Runners often take for granted, with just a simple tag. Please keep us informed on how this works out for you, I sure would like to know myself!
