Expensive Traps and Other Forms of Roman Warfare

A fellow Jinteki.net player has asked me to post this.

The concept behind this deck is quite simple. As Blue Sun, your primary goal is to make a crap ton of money, and use that to your advantage. Lock down your centrals with Meru Mati, Ice Wall/Hive, Crisium grid and Will-o-Wisp. The rest is entirely up to the board state/opponent. A commonly powerful play with this deck is to treat each type of ice as an absurdly powerful trap (namely Janus 1.0). Surprise them, and give yourself the kill advantage.

This deck does indeed have the tools to score out (ASH, OtG), but it's generally much easier to score a kill, what with all of the tools this deck has. The ideal play goes something along the lines of this:

CASE 1)

Runner makes a run on your two ice deep remote: outermost being Curtain Wall, innermost being Janus. Force the runner to unexpectedly faceplant Janus, and have them waltz into an Adonis/triple advanced Thomas Haas.

Sea-Scorch-Scorch with the added punishment of your scored Cleaners.

CASE 2)

Willingly give them any agenda that isn't Oaktown Renovation (SO LONG AS IT ISN'T THEIR FIRST AGENDA), while forcing them to run through a similar ice setup listed in case 1.

Kill with Punitive Counterstrike.
