Let's play something messed up was the theme of my deck choices. I am, and have always been, shaper-pilled. However, for this tournament I decided last minute to mix it up and play something that puts a bit more pressure on my opponents.
I guessed I would see a bunch of jammy corps on the day and wanted to test to see if 419 could put the squeeze on these types of corps. From a meta call, I nailed it and managed to get extremely lucky matchups. In swiss my matchups were R+, Azmari, Asa, and PD. In the cut it was Asa, PD, Asa, Asa, Azmari, completely missing the 4 Ag matchups!
Shout out chouxflower who made this great Mining Accident 419 list. Go read the writeup it's a work of art. I made a few changes - notably went to 3 The Class Act, got some Diesels in here, and threw in an alarm clock which ended up being good in a few matchups.
I loved playing this list though. Of course it helps to have favorable matchups, but your turns are so fun and it does remarkably well at playing low to the ground.
I recorded and narrated all of my matchups throughout the tournament and posted on youtube. If you'd like to see what corp I played or how I piloted this list, check it out!
