Very straightforward. Was thinking about Ninja's problems some time ago and ended up making this deck as a result. Ice Carver makes Ninja far more effective against some of its problem ice, notably Archer and Komainu. Unfortunately, still crap against 2-3 str stuff, which is a problem with Tsurugi being as popular as it is in RP. Probably want to sneak a Mimic in here somehow.
That said, Ice Carver works well for the other breakers too. There are few code gates above 5 str, so you'll rarely boost the Torch, and Battering Ram can get you through Elis for 2, which is solid. The idea is to make breaking cheap enough that Opus econ can get you through even the annoying servers.
Iterated a ton, has changed drastically, this is definitely my my successful variant so far, but it's still got problems. Setup is usually just not quite as fast as you want, HB heavy glacier play can be too expensive for Opus, even with this rig, and RP is a pain, largely due to Tsurugi and Caprice. You can pull out the tricks to stop them from scoring some, but not enough usually, then it's down to central pressure and hope. Gives most Weyland fits though, and against NBN if you can set up while applying pressure, they just tend to crumble. The Crescentus is a meta call and just a card I like. Being able to shut down the ice that's giving you problems is just really good, helps you knock the corp down a peg if they've gotten too glacier-ey while you were setting up. Probably a better deck if you drop one for a mimic though.
Not gonna claim this one's competitive, but I've had some fun with it.

I struggled a lot with the memeory before I went to Leprechauns. Garrotte is a good way to go, but I prefer not to have too many huge cost breakers, since you never get to test run/scavenge ALL of them. |
My friend used to play a deck similar to this but he ran it with Garrote instead of Ninja and it worked quite well, it'll cost you an extra influence though :)
