Critical Kate

sruman 132

One of the decks I'm considering for bringing to worlds. Standard pre-paid Kate with a few variations:

Film Critic Situational, but an impressive # of situation it's helpful. Every TFP I take without a psi-game just cements the fact I'll always have 1 of these in a deck.

Yog + 2nd datasucker:
I have Atman and NRE as answers for Lotus Field (which seems to be falling out usage). High strength code-gates might force me away from Yog if suckers become hard to get consistently in games.

Kati Kati is just solid econ plus I've been chronos'd too many times to not have one in case.

2 akamatsu + 1 astrolabe The extra datasucker and atman and parasite pushes me towards 6 memory so I figure, why not have potential over more consistently in getting astrolabe.

NRE With atman available, this is mostly an alternate Lotus Field solution (and a much cheaper one) and econ card (saving money on cerebus and sucker tokens on fixed breakers).

Weaknesses

No HQ Pressure Yog and extra datasucker used up my legwork influence so stuck with single HQ accesses if need to. So, it'll be a remote lock-down, R&D lock plan. Thinking about an escher perhaps.

47 Cards: I've had trouble cutting to 45 cards for along time and often ended up 46 over the last year. Now at 46 is less sacrilege guess I'll have to move up to 47 to stay non-conformist :) Probably will wise up an cut it to 46 at some point. But first thoughs would be 3rd quality time which might make consistency worse or plascrete which I'm pretty sure I'll regret at some point. The 2nd RDI might be another option but it really helps lock R&D late game against expensive R&D ice.

No Sharpshooter or Deus X: Program destruction a thing, so maybe leaning on only clone chips and Levy to recover from program destruction ice that mimic / atman / sucker can't handle is too dangerous. Dropped Deus X along time ago but PE is making a comeback as potential counter to faust noise.

2 SMCs: 48 cards just seemed too, too much so cut the SMC because of the intro of 3 QT for extra draw and the fact SMC is often a dead draw post Levy and sometimes pre-Levy.
