My deck for the Metropole grids startup tournament.

I have been mainly a standard player since halfway of the midnight sun metagame. Due to not being familiar with the current metagame that much I tried emulating my standard/ old random access memories decks. I also took some notes like including regolith from theBigunits resent PD list.

My general idea was trying to go fast enough to build a decent remote and jam 2-4s behind that before shapers can setup their doom rig with turbine and fixed strength breakers. In practice this did really pan out in two games against shaper. I failed to find seamless launch in the first 3 turns so my ability to jam out was really limited. Early boat feels sometimes like a death sentence if you do not find your upgrade combo

As you can notice from the deck list name, I am running only three agendas from the borealis cycle. And even these are not including that I am completely happy with even with elivagar saving me from the turbine engine on my last game in the tournament. Other agendas are just basic good agendas that HB uses anyways.

In the asset front I originally included only the spin doctors and nico campaigns. With regolith being bit of a replacement for nico after some testing games and inspiration looking. Ones again I do not really like these includes but I think I am clouded by mostly playing standard. Compared to godlike cards like Tranquility grid and rashida that allow you to keep up your econ game while not clogging your remote up for 2-3 turns feels so good compratevily. One thing I was thinking after the tournament was including some amounts of gaslights just to find seamless launch more consistently.

Operations and upgrades are basic fodder that everyone knows already.

In the ice set I tried including mixture of cheap stopping ice and ice that tries to tax out the runner even a bit after the turbine comes online. My original list also included two vanas but after one eye opening game where I drew ravanas before I could open any bioroid ice and when I got ravanas online they got broken by only one credit. Other options included the Harmonics set but IMO opinion the harmonic set is just lackluster compared to the system gateway+ system update ice. The only one that is actually scary is bloop.

I think I would maybe have been better off trying to do something with NBN. Unsmiling tsarevna, tollbooth, funhouse can be the only set of ice taxing boat rigs even for a bit. And NBN has way better access to alternate wincons (even tough no free lunch kills tagbased wincons almost outright).
