Big Brother Is Watching

Yoshi456 1

This is a Deck I had in mind to really take advantage of the Trace abilities that NBN cards use so well. It is pretty much just trace cards I havent had a chance to try it out yet but the one issue I can see coming up is economy. There are only 8 cards that provide me with economy and that seems a little light to me.

Any help is appreciated and if you have experience with this type of deck let me know some strategies and cards you would substitute in.

Traces burns money really quickly if the runner has more money than you and you need to add to them. Mind, they do the same for the runner too. But the NBN identity ability only gives you two credits for up to two traces, meaning you would be better off with less trace ice. Like, less than exclusively tracing ice. If you have a server with Shinobi following a Matrix Analyzer, you might blow all the creds in one place and have none for what might be the most important trace of the bunch. This is especially important to remember when end the run effects are tied to traces.

And you need more ice. NBN ain't the richest bunch of dudes, so probably lose the Wall of Thorns and throw in some of the cheaper stuff (more Wraparounds) and Enigmnas, Quandaries, Wall of Static. Those are kind of base ideas to build off of, but all good ice in their own way.

You've got waaaaayy too many Assets for the amount of ice you're bringing in. Near-Earth Hub: Broadcast Center is good for that kind of play, but I suggest you cut out the ones that don't help your goal of a) tracing and b) winning. So things like Broadcast Square (if you had a BP heavy deck, maybe, but I doubt you'll even get the two from the Shinobis in one game), City Surveillance (super expensive and will undoubtedly end up without protection, meaning it'll be immediately trashed) should go. Check out asset econ like Private Contracts. Maybe one less Melange, and if you add ice then remove Levy.

Also, I see why you would want TGTBT, but lose one since you only need 20 points and that'll free up a slot. Your operations are all a bit too based on getting tags, which may never happen against a careful player. Maybe drop a few tag punishment cards and add SEA Source so you can get tags off on your own terms: on your turn and when you choose.

And I'd suggest looking at Bad Times, probably instead of Freelancer. You can really eff up a whole game with it.
