It's been months since I posted a deck on here, and the ones that I have posted are pure garbage, so I figured I'd use my excitement about Comet as an opportunity to demonstrate that I'm not a total Netrunner moron. (You'll have to play me to find that out.)
Obviously I haven't been able to play this yet, but the goal is a Prepaid Kate deck that harness the efficiency of Comet for mega-runs.
With a couple prepaids and Comet on the table, you can play a Day Job for 10 and immediately finish the turn with a Legwork or The Maker's Eye. That's a Stimhack but instead of brain damage you get to access two additional cards.
And speaking of Stimhack, it's in here in the event you need a 19 swing to get into a server.
This currently has three Comets. The only other console I've ever run that many of is Desperado, but Comet might be as awesome so for now I'm letting my enthusiasm dictate the deck build.
Other than that this is a fairly familiar Prepaid Kate build. I still prefer Corroder over the Counter Cur. And running with only one Plascrete has cost me a few matches recently so if this were headed to a tourny I'd probably beef that up. Other than that there isn'ttoo much I'd change.
Anyway, Breaker Bay is due in shops next week. I'm excited.

If you use your Same Old Thing first, then Comet will proc. You will still only have two clicks left (assuming you don't SOT a double), so without something like Rachel Beckman, you won't be able to Day Job from hand. |
Thanks for the deck! It's definitely interesting how Comet makes Day Job viable in PPVP Kate. Perhaps this deck also needs some Dirty Laundry to help leverage this combo further. Also do you know if Comet syncs with SOT? It doesn't specify in the text that the event has to be played from your grip, so could you Sure Gamble into a Legwork from SOT? Obviously Day Job would be bad for this because of the 4 click cost but it does raise interesting possibilities for the usual burst economy of PPVP Kate!
