Butchers Gonna Butch

I have not tested this deck yet. I'm sharing it just because I can.

I've been having a lot of fun with Same Old Butchershop, (inspired by NEH Butchershop Variant, in turn inspired by Butcher Shop v4).

This deck is directly inspired by Same Old Butchershop. It only differs by three cards.

The first objective I had was to somewhat address the main weakness I was exploiting when playing against Same Old Butchershop, which was R&D lock. It was just too easy and too inexpensive for me. I was rarely at risk. So, my first change was to add a Snare!, which sadly meant the two Pups had to go, because I was unwilling to drop any Scorched Earths or Traffic Accidents. Yeah, one Snare! is unlikely to do a whole lot of real damage, but it can be quite the deterrent to R&D lock.

The next objective was to get rid of Information Overload. It just wasn't doing me any good. I have only had one game using this deck with the runner floating too many tags to bother shaking, and I felt like it was mostly due to poor decisions on the runner's part. This objective was easy, of course. Just get rid of it.

I had two slots left. With one of them, I decided to add a possible tax to running via a single Manhunt. This essentially makes up for losing Pup, as long as it stays out, because it taxes the runner at least two credits on every successful run. I filled the other slot with Troll, a fantastic ice that's just an annoying as Pup, at least in this deck, but possibly even more devastating.

Update: I tested this at a local meetup, and my changes all seemed well worth it. Manhunt and Troll were great. Snare only came up once; sadly, the runner won on that turn, but if they hadn't, I would have flatlined them on the next turn, thanks to the Snare!
