You're Blue in the Face! - Colorado Regional 3rd Place Swiss

This is a deck I threw together the day before Colorado Regionals. It's a tried and true Blue Sun build. I expected it do about average. Except for the game that knocked me out of the top 8 elimination, it was undefeated all day. It carried my runner (Valencia) the whole time. It seems to have a good balance of glacier and kill. I won two games by advancing out agendas, the rest were flat lines.

The MVP of the day was definitely Snare!. It single handedly won me two games. One after my opponent picked it up off R&D on his last click, and I had two Scorches in hand. The other, I watched a runner pay 18 credits to get all the way through my scoring server on his last click, just to access a Snare. That's a good feeling.

I wanted the MVP to be Snoop. I was dying for it to work as well as I wanted. The plan was to use Snoop to look at their hand and pick out an I've Had Worse before going in for the kill, or snipe a Plascrete early. At the very least, bringing down their hand of four cards to three, just to bring them into Scorch range. Unfortunatly, my opponents were too smart to let that happen, and dropped a lot of money to not let that trace go off. But hey, I'm happy with that too.

The key to playing this deck is the table talk. Give the impression that they are one step ahead of you. When they start going after your obvious three point agenda, sigh. A lot. You have to make yourself believe you don't have the two Punitive Counterstrike in hand and crazy money to pull off the traces. When they finally put down the Corrodor and start breaking the bank to get to a Snare, act like they're about to get your Government Takeover that you don't have in the deck. This deck is all about taking risks, but if you maintain a good poker face, you should be golden.

This deck was a blast to play, and I can't wait to see it get better with the new Wayland cards coming out soon. And thank you to everyone at Colorado Regionals! It was an honor to play all of you phenomenal players!

Would you recommend removing the Snoop for a third Snare!?

Snoop was great for a glacial type deck, just no ETR. Snare! worked really well for a kill deck. Since this was mainly going for a kill win, I would put in a third Snare!. But it's up to your play style.
