Regional Winner - Tacoma, WA 6/21/2015 - Replicating Perfect

This is the deck I ended up playing in Tacoma, WA. The event was at the Evergreen Tabletop Expo on 6/21/2015. The event had a different format, and it sucked that a lot of my Portland friends didn't want to come up for it, or couldn't commit two days to it, but it was a lot of fun and I enjoyed playing in it. Looking forward to it next year. This Regionals was 47 players total I believe(although I think there were a few no shows)..

It's only 2 cards different from the list I played in Portland (i switched back to 9 agenda). Robert Brown piloted an exact copy of this list to top 8 at the same event. RP is just solid and consistent. Even in poor matchups, you can capitalize on opponents mistakes and end up winning. R&D

This deck went 4-1 in swiss(had a super bye) , then went 2-0 in the double eliminations.

My 1 loss was a long Valencia game where I didn't see agendas early.

@bluebird503

Congrats again. Why no DBS?

Did you test the Ichi 2.0 instead of the 1.0? If so why did you choose the 1.0 over the 2.0?

@Nobo715

Thanks, had to get fairly lucky against that Medium and psi games but it worked out I suppose. DBS as a 1 of just felt like it had a low impact where the Ichi as a 1 of instead of something like Markus, Viper, Wraparound that just wasn't doing much for me. I could fit in 2 DBS but I would be cutting some great cards I didn't want to be cutting like Crisium/Restructure probably.

@blackcaps I didn't personally test Ichi 2.0 but my friend Robert did and was not happy with it in this list. Ichi 2.0 costs more and has more influence tacked on. I found the Ichi to be really solid and enjoyed having it in the deck. It is good on a scoring remote or on a central for taxing purposes.

@bluebird503 I think most lists are cutting Ash for DBS x2. Congrats on your performance!

Most decks are in fact cutting some 2 influence card(tollbooth, ichi or ash) and putting either DBS in, or a combination of blacklist+DBS. Also more and more people are running an 8 agenda spread, usually putting in either hades or utopia shard.

@juliandark I ran 8 agendas at the last two events(Regionals Boise, then Regionals Portland). The first one was fine, I ended up winning. But after 9th place in Portland I switched back to 9 agendas. I don't think 8 agendas is terrible, and I'm not sure which one is actually better, but 9 agenda feels better too me personally. That extra deck slot is just an extra restructure really

A single DBS or two is fine, but I don't really like blacklist without slotting bootcamp. I just think Ichi, Ash, and Tollbooth have higher impact, especially when your only including a single copy of DBS.
