ID Crisis *1st Place*: CB --> Blue Sun (Dammit Janus!)

This was my corp deck for winning the Identity Crisis tournament at Collectormania in Parker, CO on 8/15/2015. In Identity Crisis, you build a deck legal for one identity and switch the ID card to another. (Props to Joe Senart for the format and a great tournament.) This deck was built in Custom Biotics and run as Blue Sun. It went 4-1 on the day, its one loss coming to what was essentially a PPVP Kate run with Valencia.

Since I expected a lot of hate for Titan Transnational Fast Advance, I wanted something more formidable for punishing runners who invested more heavily in cards like Film Critic, The Source, small icebreakers, drip economy, etc. My first thought was Replication Perfection NEARPAD, but that turned out to be too financially precarious. My breakthrough (which two other people had separately) was in Biotic Efficiency Research to run six "Oversights" with big Bioroids. Accelerated Beta Test plays very nicely with Blue Sun, and Custom Biotics, while preventing me from adding a single Swordsman, let me fit in a rudimentary kill package as well.

All four wins were due to scoring agendas, usually behind gear checks/Janus with Ash backup. The Scorched package never came into play, and probably would have been better as Punitive Counterstrikes, or just cut altogether. I also wish I had cut the 20th ice for a single Biotic Labor, which at least would have made the Scorched package slightly more viable - I think I overreacted to expectations of Clot adversity. But in more than one match, I had 31 credits at the beginning of turn 3, and I think that speaks for itself.

Congrats again on the win! I was so sad I didn't get a chance to play against you! This would have been fun to go after with my Ken/Kim deck. Maybe some day :) I have all the footage so I'll get to see it in action still!

Interesting concept, this "ID Crisis" thing. So, you build a deck "for" Custom Biotics, and then simply switch to Blue Sun and play as it is, regardless of influence implications thereafter?

Correct, legal to the first identity, all the benefits of the other. So he got 22 non-Jinteki influence to spend on HB that got to pop a card back every turn for its cost. It was crazy and amazing and there was some serious brokenness on both sides (Legal to NBN, played as Titan Transnational anyone?) We had a 28 person turnout and it was just all out madness but SO much fun

The idea is absolutely terrifying. I'd love to try and bring this format to my community. And a Rocky Horror Picture Show reference, no less.
