IG GFI Power Shutdown v1

si 7

  • Asset heavy, fill up Archives ASAP and then force runs. Use the wonderfully synergistic Power Shutdown to refill it as soon as they run it.

  • An early Mushined Vanity Project can make for a very fun game:

"Oh, that's probably a Junebug or a Cerebral Imaging, I'll let him take the agenda points over running into that"

Followed by the rest of the game being spent second guessing every mushined card.

  • Play Swordsmen on Archives if they have Eater in play - it can flip your cards without accessing them.

  • Melange behind a packed Archives is pretty safe economy.

  • Genetics Pavilion makes them think twice about running.

  • Psychic Fields are amazing at neutralising massive hand sizes.

  • I quite like dumping a snare in archives, and using Allele Repression to pull it into hand when they play legwork. Had one game where I just sat on 3 out of my 7 agendas most of the game and then pulled off the Allele flatline. Sometimes I try my luck with a snare in a remote for a couple of turns before installing the AR over it.

Things that kill this deck:

  • Imps
  • late game Feedback Filters (early game FFs are Power Shutdownable and rage quit triggers).
  • Solitaire runners (yeah, DLR isn't a fun time)
  • Account Siphon / Vamp
  • Runners with runaway banks
  • Silhouette / Expose effects

So a fair bit really, it's probably not competitive, but it's pretty fun to play around with. Genetics Pavilion isn't implemented on Jinteki.net yet, so you rely on opponent limiting themselves and being honest with putting cards back post-Diesel etc.
