My first Gabe

taskmts 3

This may be first ever Netrunner deck. I'm working with 1 core set, and 4 data packs for now (Future Proof, Cyber Exodus, Opening Moves and True Colors).

Any criticism is appreciated!

Here are my suggestions Gabriel Santiago: Consummate Professional

Event (21) 2x Account Siphon 2x Emergency Shutdown 3x Forged Activation Orders 2x Infiltration 3x Inside Job 3x Lawyer Up 3x Special Order 3x Sure Gamble

Hardware (3) 1x Desperado ☆ 2x R&D Interface ••••

Resource (11) 3x Armitage Codebusting 2x Bank Job 2x Crash Space 3x Mr. Li 1x Public Sympathy

Icebreaker (8) 2x Corroder •••• 3x Faerie 1x Femme Fatale 2x Gordian Blade ••••• •

Program (2) 2x Sneakdoor Beta

14 influence spent (max 15-1☆=14) 45 cards (min 45) Cards up to True Colors

I removed the keyhole and data suckers because if you run keyhole you will need to run archives. Being Gabe means people fearing the sneakdoor play form the start so they are very likely to protect archives heavely if not equally as other servers. Also with Cyberdex Virus Suite guaranteed in every deck, your sucker counters will get purged every time you run archives. Crypsis seems pretty taxing. more so than just having duplicate copies of every breaker. So I duplicated your breakers. The spares are there so they don't get trashed. I included a public sympathy just so you have room for them as well as all your other tricks. In response to the RND pressure lost from keyhole, I went with RDI. Probably 7/10 of the games I win and games won in general are from RnD. Against NEH, which is probably 45-55% of the meta right now, RnD is where you wanna be. Mr. Li is good, and it's a necessity sometimes. Also if you get a breaker, you can tuck the other one away for later as well as putting the special orders away once you have a good rig out. . You said you only had 1 core so I assume you can only run 2 Account siphon and 2 Crash Space but your list says 3 each. John Masanori is a card you either want to see early when it's easiest to get in or not at all. It's also too hard to get off towards the middle of the game when the corp can rez ice that can keep you out. The tags can stack and start to hold you way back; Especially if they trash Li or Crash space for a scorch kill. I added 3x Lawyer up to help with draw and get rid off tags from account siphons or just tags you get along the game. I still feel this deck runs into money problems, so I added an extra armitage as well as easy marks. I really don't like easy mark, but it is a necessary evil with this card pool. In the future, I would invest in Honor and Profit if you seek to get some good economy cards. Security testing is pretty staple in any Criminal decks as well as legwork for efficient HQ runs. It also comes with Breach and Passport. They are central only breakers but the benefit is they can get you in super early for pressure will costing no influence. So you can spend influence elsewhere. Also, 3 core. You need 3 Desperado and 3 Account Siphon. Some Runners even play 3 bank jobs. Tehy're that good. 2 clicks for 7 credits. 8 with Desperado. I hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

Thanks a LOT for this writeup, it helps tremendously in this early stage of mine. Actually before your comment as I started to sleeve this deck, I realized the core comes with only 2x of Siphon and Crash Space, so instead went with 2x Bank job. A redditor also helped in removing Keyhole and putting in Mimic as I didn't have a permanent killer.

I noticed your comment too late (after sleeving and right before sleep) so I took my deck and funnily enough I won with it also. To be honest, my opponent mulliganed and drew 4 agendas, so it wasn't so glorius. Anyway, I also felt there's not enough money, might take your advice and get Honor and Profit.
