From The Ashes - [Underway Renovations]

prefAct 10

All things considered we're all suckers for the thematic touch at some level. We wouldn't be playing netrunner otherwise. Right here it's all about Weyland putting the torch to slums and from the ashes a new government will arise.

Make good on your GRNDL starting econ and keep that up with all the cheap agenda's (lose 1-5 to runner = no real harm). Smacking down Hadrian, checkpoint, archer and/or underway grid early is possible. Start renovating the underway (boost it with ceremony for tempo) and it's possible to have the entire runner stack in the heap by turn 10. The first few turns the runner helps you because he still plays the game and is digging for his strategic stuff. Chronos and/or blacklist can lock a game to a state where you can go merily on your corporate way. Excalibur slows the runs and the danger (especially on R&D), Checkpoint (especially 2 consecutive ones) will always be a bother, Wendigo helps hampering even further, Cherlock is a cool gimmick with renovation to trash programs. Back channels when your renovation is done (15+ tokens sometimes is crazy). Minor tweaking (enforcer, punitive counterstrike and housekeeping come to mind) might help the deck.

Have consistent fun!

-.- Missed out on 2x Melange Mining while assembling, hence the 47 instead of 49 cards.

I really like thematic Decks. Kudos for that. :-)
The Idea behind the Strategy is cool too, but highly theoretical. I don't think this works very often, but it's probably fun to pilot! :-)

Yey for Theme and fun! Seriously though, won about 12 out of 20 games on Jinteki.net so far :-). Due to surprise factor maybe. It is true that in most games The (theorethical use of) Blacklist and Chronos play only a secondary role. On the other hand the mill worked wonders. It's hard for them if the recurrence tools are lost as well as the things they're supposed to fetch.- anyway, keep spreading the corporate love
