Catch-22

I've been tuning this Weyland deck for a couple of weeks now with quite a bit of success. With the new MWL coming up soon, I suspect it will bump up the relative power level of decks like these. Having been a long-time Weyland player, I really hope to see Weyland at the top in competitive play.

The basic premise of this deck is pretty much just Supermodernism - stay rich, rush out agendas behind ICE that force gear checking & kill the Runner if they come and steal your agendas. If Plascrete gets dropped, you have an alternative win condition of Exchanging your way to victory.

Card Choices:

Midseason Replacements & SEA Source are how you are going to tag the runner. The SEA Source is a placeholder until Hard-Hitting News comes out. You generally just want the Runner to slow down and be forced to shake tags, which will give you scoring windows.

Consulting Visit is a god-send for Weyland decks. Before this card, it used to be the case that over-scoring a Project Atlas was a must, just to be able to tutor the right Operation when you needed it. Consulting Visit just makes this archetype so much more reliable and consistent

Exchange of Information is there so you can tag the Runner and swap a Hostile Takeover for a Global Food Initiative or some even a Private Security Force. Other times, it can help you get that last point you need by swapping a Hostile Takeover for a 2-pointer.

Everything else is pretty standard I think. Cheap ICE that forces gear-checking, with Wraparound helping against AI breakers.
