Kharn the Betrayer 224

This is a deck I've been playing around with for a long time. It hasn't changed any with the Mumbad cycle, however it feels fresh and strong with the new MWL and the lack of faust hate and museum decks we will most likely be experiencing.

It plays a little strangely in that it has no real need for persistent econ. If you have an empty credit pool, you're exactly where you should be. Anything you could possibly need to spend on you should be able to earn with a single click. The reason for this is that instead of the grossly expensive wyldside combo fueling Faust, this deck has drug dealers, which will suck up any money you earn in no time. So you're looking at a faust rig, that's not so special, anyone could do that prior to the new MWL. This deck's unique feature is that it's a DLR mill deck that aims to make the corp just as broke as you. Ideally, your setup should be racing out Faust asap, then going in deep with all your crazy free draw to account siphon and install a DLR, hurting the corp's money and turning on your mill button in one play. Once this is accomplished, your goal is to plop down fall guys and a wireless pavillion. If you can manage all this, the corp will be fighting a constant uphill battle to keep you from having a DLR online, they'll have to spend a click and $4 to trash your fall guys and DLRs or suffer the consequences of letting you click the mill button four times every turn. It might not sound too back breaking, but when you consider mandatory draw, Investment Seminar and the fact that Laramy taxes the corp's R&D count just by running, it adds up to a pretty short clock. Most of my wins come from deckout, however if the corp fights real hard to trash your DLR, you can also win just by running archives a couple times considering how many cards you're trashing and the fact that the corp will be dumping plenty after you hold a (bad) Investment Seminar. If you don't see too many there, the corp is most likely desperately trying to hide them in HQ and legwork should get the job done.

Notable Choices

Brain Cage - Gives you a fatter hand for Faust and is cheap enough to click for $ and install.

Data Dealer - Gives you money for LARLA when you need it (and you most likely will). You're trying to mill agressively anyway, you don't need those points, even if a lot of the money goes to your drug habit. Also the only way other than siphon spamming that you're going to be able to trash things on access, which you will sometimes need to do.

e3 Feedback Implants - Seems terrible when your game plan is to be broke. Not actually that bad, you can often have a small pile of money for the duration of a turn or two thanks to data dealer or account siphon, which eases up on the cost of Fausting.

Spike - Wraparound tech.

Faerie - Anti-faust Sentry tech.

Paparazzi - Meat tech, though with the amount of draws you're packing you shouldn't be terribly worried. Also an alternative method of turning on the mill button.

Symmetrical Visage - Gives you a click-for-two-breaks action with Faust and e3 up, or just lets you get a little more out of click for $ and install any of your cards that actually cost money.

Easy Mark - Sometimes you need more than $1 at a time and you can't use a data dealer or afford to trash a fallguy or burn clicks. Usually a result of needing to legwork.
