Woo woo!! (5th Toronto SC)

This deck brought be to 5th place out of 20 players at the 401 Games Store Championship in Toronto, going 3-1 for the day (and then went 2-2 with Argus)

It's mostly good stuff Shaper, with the plan being to get Magnum Opus out as early as possible. Ubax is there for clickless draw. I wanted to create a deck that could get a decent amount of money given enough time, but also didn't just lose completely to a turn 1 Scarcity of Resources, because that's often the saddest way to lose.

Game 1 was against Skorpios. Unfortunately, my opponent mulliganed into Atlas, Oaktown, SSL Endorsement, Archer, Hedge Fund. I won on turn 3 and felt a bit bad for my opponent.

Game 2 was also against Skorpios. He rushed out a bunch and managed to remove my Gordian Blade from the game after I stole a Standoff. I managed to get 4 points off him, but was close to locked out after that.

Game 3 was against Punitive CI. I played relatively slow and control. I eventually got to a point where I forced my opponent to either MCA out a 5/3 (not for the win) or Stinson up so he would be broke. He chose to Stinson so I killed the MCA with Political Operative, taking away his scoring window. A few turned of clicking Opus later I saw he was down to 3 cards in deck, so I used Wu to get Equivocation and ran R&D enough to run out his deck.

Game 4 was against Mushin Mushin Jinteki Biotech. Again, I played control, clicking Opus when I needed to and saving some net damage with Feedback Filter. A misplay by me got my Paperclip killed by Ark Lockdown, so I rebirthed into Kit in order to get through the Kakugo on R&D. I ate a bunch of Snares and Breached Domes along the way, and the game was 6-6, and I had 2 cards in hand and none in my deck. The corp plays Mushin + Advance. I was pretty sure it was a Cerebral Overwriter, but I couldn't take the chance. I ran R&D and saw nothing. Ran the overwriter, saved myself from dying by sacrificing Feedback Filter, and I ran archives knowing there was breached domes but also knowing and had no other outs. But I managed to win the psi game for a Future Perfect for the win.

My last 3 games were against very good players, and I was amazed that this deck held up as well as it did against them. RNG Key was a dead card and I didn't install it at all in any of my games. Interdiction didn't get used but it would have been useful against CI if I drew it at the right time, and it would have been useful had I just played against different people. This deck tends to do very poorly against fast advance decks like Titan, but does pretty well against Jinteki, or anything else that takes a few turns to set up.

This is the best I've done at any major tournament, so I'm very happy about that.
