An Exploration of Throwback format: The Sound of The Sea

Baa Ram Wu 1843

I'm going to be posting a decklist a day looking at the interesting side of Throwback Format deckbuilding.

What is Throwback Format?? Simply put it's Standard but you can add 1 full playset of a rotated card OR play with a rotated ID - Eric aka Whiteblade is running a Charity Tournament on the 5th using this tournament! More info here - https://www.hemophiliamb.ca/events/netrunner-tournament/

Now please feel free to stick 3x Account siphon into your reg 419 or Caprice Nisei into your Jinteki Glacier but if you could just wake me up afterwards from the coma inducing slumber you have put me in due to your unimaginitve deckbuilding!!

Number 9 in the series.... sorry, Number Nine In The Series.... NUMBER NINE IN THIS SERIES - Damn it's really noisy in here!

The Sound of The Sea

Throwback Card: Noise

As someone who joined during the Kitara cycle I never got to play Noise as he had already rotated so it felt rude not to give him a go!

It also gives me a chance to play my favorite virus and one of my favorite and most used cards Nisei has printed in Pelangi which has never had legal combinations with Noise outside of Eternal!

This is based on my Quetzal build but with a handful of extra viruses and a full set of simulchips for reinstalling Pelangis or Imps and getting those sweet Noise mills!

Once your set up you run for almost no money - just virus counters - just using cash for surfing - usually into HQ for Baghet triggers.

The Nihilist is understandably insane in any Noise deck - turn the volume up for double the Noise! triggering simulchip to trash and reinstall a Pelangi or Imp at the end of the corps turn to gain Nihilist counters feels awesome - Its best to not always trigger the ability - sometimes using the counters as an engine for Yusuf.

There are some anti synergies here - like Paladin not being able to install either The Nihilist or Baghat oh and you potentially get wrecked by CVS mid run - There is tech against this but not including it feels so much more 'Anarch' to not include it! GO BIG OR GO HOME!

(if you actually wanna be safe you need to include at least 1 Progenitor - you probably SHOULD include at least 1 Progenitor - don't say I didn't warn you!)
