Just me on this new ID then? (Nottingham CO 2023 13th 1-3)

HiddenAway 1009

While a good number of the field wanted to try out Arissana, I ended up as the only Mercury in the field at Nottingham. This was a panic build that I only had a week to test with since I don't normally practice on Jinteki so it could do with a few improvements.

The deck did originally have 3 Capybara but I ended up with very little money and time to install it, so I swapped them for some more boring but probably needed Daily Casts. Mercury is very good in the early game if the corp has a slow start but does fall away as more ICE comes in on centrals. It could also be that I wasn't aggressive enough, focussing too much on getting Hermes triggers.

I put Simulchip in as I was worried about rigshooter being more prevelant. You could instead to opt for the spicier Divide and Conquer and get rid of the Sneakdoor, which basically did nothing all day. Maybe swap with a couple of Cezve's to make up a better rig for the times when you have to - break subroutines shivers

In the end, I only managed to win a single game. The Nottingham CO was a lot of fun though and it was a large field with lots of newer and more experienced players. Massive thanks to Matt for hosting the event and also to secondskin for driving me and Utati there!

My corp deck for reference was The Outfit (exactly the same as the one that came 4th in APAC)

Looking to play Murcury in the EMEA event. How did you find having the 3 S-Dobrado?

@Swiftie I liked S-Dobrado enough in the limited testing I got in that I increased it to 3. I still think 2 is the better call. Could also look at "Always have a Backup Plan" because that can force an early rez on a central and if not, you fire Mercury's ID instead. It may also be useful for remotes (but if you plan on that, I'd add in Pinhole Threading). Also forgot to mention - this deck had a really hard time against Reality Plus (though that's on me stealing a Bellona turn 1 and getting Oppo'ed turn 2)
