Swan Song (3-0 @ SF CO)

This is the deck I took to the “Last Click” event in San Francisco, run by beloved tournament organizer Izaac Swan, who is hanging ‘em up as TO after this event. I came in 2nd place after swiss but had to drop before the cut unfortunately.

When our most trusty kill card died with rotation (Boom), I was looking at the most efficient and reliable ways of murdering people. EotL and HHN at home felt too fragile, Reconstruction / Clearinghouse in Ob is 1 piece away & Reaver / Fujii stuff was never a guarantee.

So I settled on the Reeducation / Neurospike combo & it has been pretty smooth. Essentially unless the runner has gigantic hand size, playing this combo is basically a guaranteed kill. And through practice, I found that it’s actually more resilient than you’d think.

44 card deck size was helpful (no tags so Azmari over R+). I decided to just go all in supporting ways to score the one Reeducation you need, so the deck really only does 1 thing. Make a “safe” remote with expensive ice & FA upgrades to help you click compress so you have enough left to play the Neurospike.

A few card choices:

NAPD was a last minute addition, but the theory was if you can safely get the agenda in the remote, usually with a Cali Testing or advanced Vladisklskdjglkjg then making it cost 4-12 to steal felt good.

Vovo was a surprising star today, not only for the ice discount, but it won me a game because I pitched a Bellona to get to threat 4 then was able to score a Reeducation from hand and play Neurospike with only 7 credits due to the -2 upgrade discount.

Endless EULA was either extremely good or absolutely terrible. It would probably be the first card I change. Tollboth was great, Vasilisa gave a ton of value.

I wish I had gone +1 Attitude Adjustment & -1 Digital Rights Management, as the former was more impactful in almost every game.

Thanks to everyone who came out today, it was great seeing so many old friends & also meet so many new players. Meta is thriving & incredibly diverse.
