Flippy Sh*t (5th SE Regionals)

Baa Ram Wu 2245

All Kickflips, all the time.

Ricochet vs Osprey

This is the Arisanna I played to 5th place at the UK SE Regionals (Aldershot). (My Corp deck was Sokka's Aginfusion - card for card - no notes)

I threw the first version of this together a week before the event to play for fun, and also as a common question in stream chats right now is: "what does kickflip mean" and I wanted to show a deck that lived and breathed by Shaper BS Kickflips ... turns out it was too much fun for me not to take.

It only lost to Lap's Aginfusion all day.... unfortunately it lost to that deck twice (R3 and in the Cut) ... and both times due to Snare! (One admittingly risky Trickshot, and once due to losing a cleaver at an inopportune time)

Card Slots (#slotsarehard)

Only 2 Aesops?: this is not actually an Aesops deck - it works fine without Aesops being down - although if you don't find either Aesops or UAV, then you're econ will start to feel very tight. - These were originally 2x Spec work, But I found the draw on spec work to be unnecessary most of the time.

Environmental Testing: A card that I somtimes hate myself for including in decks - but games go too fast for Daily casts at the moment unless you draw them in you're first couple of turns - whereas this deck can easily pop a Testing for 9c in 1-2 turns.

2x Ika, No Echelon: The deck uses Muse to find it's tools, so Ika works better than echelon here - playing 2 means you can still deal with servers that are double sentry without too many issues.

1x Slap Vandal: A last minute include which should have been in from the start. Can get you out of lots of sticky situations and deal with early Codegates before you can get a buzzsaw down.

Conduit: kind of underperformed on the day... felt good in testing, but I might look at other options for closing out the game (Cataloguer, Deep Dive or Nyashia/Mary combo are current thoughts)

Hush: a standard card in Arissana but worth mentioning that the amount of Tatu bolas I turned off with this all day was insane

Shout outs to all my opponents on the day:

Not Yeti - on PD - A stressful start to the day for the car load from E.A. so they are spared from any testing group beef on this occasion.

Lgetlander: on Ampere - Genuinely nerve racking to play against as I found myself having to play around the possibility of every card in standard format.

Believer (TheRealLap): on Aginfusion - Snare! is a good card

Ace Empress on Thunderbolt - Shoutout to our final turn of Aginfusion vs Girls (Akiko) - which presented one of the most ridiculous complex boardstates I have been part of for a while.

Steff on PD - Friendly game during a 2 for 1 but one of the silliest and most fun games I've been part of.

Also massive Shout Out to Loki for running an excellent Tournament. had an incredible day all round - and congrats to Auggy C for taking the whole thing down.

What a conincidence, I was just looking for a reg-ish Arissana! Played a couple paper games yesterday with it and had a blast. Congrats on the placement and thanks for publishing this list :)

@HexNet Thankyou so much!

@awildturtokperfect timing then! Yeah itโ€™s certainly in the ridiculous fun category - Trick shot + Q Loop is a hell of a drug!

No pinhole is rough against PD's skunkvoid. Maybe trade a Q-loop for a couple of those?

did you find yourself missing Pinhole or DJ Fenris in testing or at the tournament?

with Q-Loop in the deck, was Boomerang considered too?

this gets a like and favourite because it's a normal arissana with no tree and also ricochet/ospreay gif
