I'm Core-d of a Big Deal - 6th at San Diego Districts

CantWakeJake 2

Mostly Toron's Core Damage PD but I swapped the Mavirus for another Spin Doctor, because I don't believe in viruses so they can't hurt me. Also swapped the Next Diamond and 1x Jag for a Bran and another Ablative, because it seems like the surprise factor has gone away since I mostly play this at the weekly meetup (plus, it's been played on Metropole Grid often enough)

Went 3-0 on the day, with my Tao deck pulling me down to 6th and bubbling out of Top Cut and missing out on that sweet sweet playmat.

R2 Win vs Lat

R3 Win vs Queztal

R6 Win vs Steve

I have really enjoyed how the deck plays cautiously and then accelerates once it gets to 2 Core Damage. It feels like the dynamic totally switches at that point with an additional 1/3 of my agendas now being FA-able. It just has a satisfying arc to me, win or lose. And I LOVE getting a runner to run into my installed Nightmare Archives. I originally was just throwing them into Archives, but I often find myself in a waiting game trying to get to Big Deal credits or find the combo pieces, and wasting the Runners clicks can really give you just enough time to get setup.

I have been contemplating slotting something in here that could take advantage of tags, since the deck doesnt really have anyway of punishing runners who can go Tag Me against the Jags. Potentially a single Greasing the Palms so I could FA out an Onto even if the runner only has 1 core, and Greasing is just click-effecient money card anyway. Hypoxia could work but, since I dont have anyway of proactively giving a tag, its usualy a dead card. I am honestly suprised how often Runners are spending clicks to avoid the tag, so it's not really hurting me now, but if Runners start to go tag me more often I may need a solution.
