My first runner deck, and I am still a n00b at NR. Goes without saying this is probably a very bad deck, but I hope to test it soon and discover exactly how bad.

Hey, thanks a bunch, on the money. I can confirm that after two plays my economy sucks. Will remove UWC, Rabbit Hole, Toolbox (I actually already removed it, forgot to update my deck) and add some more econ. I only create decks with cards I actually own, so no Kati Jones (but damn it, it's obvious I have to get that data pack, she's such a strong resource). |

One reason to play Chaos is that she makes it easy to play Magnum Opus. If you played 3 Opus, 2-3 Self-modifying Code, 3 Test Run, and 3 Scavenge, you would reliably be able to get an Opus out first turn every game. (And, if you don't know, you can test run a program and then scavenge it same turn and not have to put it back on the top of your deck at the end of the turn). If you do play Opus, then you have enough money to play Femme Fatale as your sentry breaker. She's about as expensive to use as Crypsis (which you could probably cut). Use some of the extra MU to get a few Corroders in there, and then you won't have any memory problems (since Corroder, Gordian, Femme, and Opus together costs 5 MU). And with the 3 Special Orders, SMC, and Test Run, you should be able to get your breakers out fast. One last ting--if you play this style (the get the Opus out first turn style), then you don't need to bother with Armitage Codebusting, Inside Man, or Toolbox. You can slot some Diesels, Indexings, and/or The Maker's Eyes. Good luck! |

Oh, and the Test/Run Scavenge combo can get Femme's out cheap, and Scavenge can change a Femme's target ice by re-installing it. |

Well yeah, he COULD add all that. Then he's playing the most bog-standard CT deck. |
Generally I'm going to say just not enough econ. Link+UWC is a perfectly reasonable deck, but if you're only running one UWC it's never going to pay off as well as just putting in 3 dirty laundries or some other such econ card after you factor in all your clicks to install and get the untutor-able combo going. UWC works much better in 1-link runners since you just need any given link and you're rolling. Crypsis is very expensive, so's Toolbox, all that hardware, and all the econ you have is basically Personal Workshop, 3 easy mark and 2 Sure Gambles.
Basically I'd say either drop the link stuff and add Kati Jones or some other form of econ, or double down on the link and get 3 UWCs. Can definitely trim some of those Infiltrations either way. One or two can be handy, but in a 40 card deck you're going to need that slot.
Keep at it though, my first CT deck looked much worse.
