!Note! As was said in the comments: Scherezade is unique and can't be installed on top of one another. And so maybe a change of -1 Scherezade and -1 Mimic and +1 Leprechaun would be better.

Anything can still be used for Chop Bot/Wasteland or Endless Hunger/Wasteland but maybe that influence is better spent elsewhere than on 3 Scherezades.

Changes made to the original:

  • +3 Scherezade (for Brahman fodder installations to be more economic),

  • -6 Exclusive Party (install + credit economy with scherezades might be better),

  • +2 Mimic (anti-swordsman tech),

  • +2 E3 (Endless Hunger cost-effectiveness),

  • -1 Levy (shaved influence and might not be that necessary).

Wasteland + Data Folding with Chopbot, Leprechaun and Scherezades to work your money engine. Endless Hungers, Harbingers and Scherezades for using with Brahman to add to the top of the stack (Install extra Hungers on another Leprechaun, install Scherezades and Harbingers on Scherezades).

E3 for making Endless Hunger more cost-effective.

Apocalypse for the time when you want to destroy all of your hard work in building up your rig.

Weaknesses:

  • You need Leprechaun before you can start installing breakers.

  • Needs a more speedy setup.

Try the deck out and hope that Reaver helps with setting up when it is released!

I always think of Heartbeat as my anti-Swordsman tech, but I guess if you are going to run an AI in Apex, you do need to think about that. I suppose my question is: Why run an AI in Apex?

It feels like you are trying to force Apex to fit a mold that it is not made to fit. The 4 MU breaker I take as a cue from the design team that you don't want to to be layering on memory boosters. Just run a small rig with Endless Hunger and one or two supporting programs.

Of course, I also think Apocalypse is Apex's primary avenue of attack, so my thinking about this deck comes from a totally different place than yours.

I'll be interested to learn if you or others have success with this approach. I am still trying to get a firm grip on the Apoc now, Apoc tomorrow, Apoc forever approach.

@FightingWalloonApocalypse Apex is what I usually run. But the thing is the meta is changing with all the conditional end the run subroutines and Endless Hunger is not a whosale solution for going through to Apocalypse anymore. There's a need for another archetype which can punch through multiple types of ETR subroutines.

This deck is old man Apex trying to keep up with the current new trends. It is still a prototype certainly.

Maybe the new card for Apex will be the end all solution to the problems we face but I doubt it. Therefore it is necessary to at least test some other ways to run Apex besides "Apocalypse every third turn". Otherwise I fear he goes into the box never to be seen again. :'-(

To be clear: there's no combo in Harbinger and Brahman after you trash Harbinger to Endless Hunger. It's not a program anymore once it's facedown. Also Scheherazade is unique.

You can't install Scheherazade on Scheherazade, it's unique.

@5N00P1``@ElodiusThanks for notifying me. I've never used Scherezade, it was something that was proposed for the deck and I didn't pay attention that it was unique. It doesn't really matter as you can still install them facedown and use it as fodder for Hunger or Chop Bot but I would use the influence somewhere else. Maybe drop Mimic down to 1 and Scherezade to 2 and put in another Leprechaun.

As for Harbinger, it's a program that can be used as fodder for Brahman as long as it's face up. You don't use it for Hunger unless necessary.
