Pre-rotation decklist |
My first deck I've ever published on NRDB. This one is completely experimental, never been played, not based on anyone elses deck, so look forward to any feedback.
The basic idea being, remove key cards from the runners rig, and then score out behind a barrier (hopefully).
A range of cheap, advancable ice, which lulls the runner into a false sense of security, as they peel of some cards early to get access.
Chronos Protocol punishes the runners heap, and reduces the impact of a Levy. A one of The Cleaners, which you could hopefully pull off, to make that meat damage all the more painful. Obviously, hard to do, but you know.
Cerebral Overwriter hopefully shocks the runner, when you throw it out unprotected. Of course, this only exaserbates the continued meat damage, and means a runner may think twice (because they hopefully won't be in paradise with Phil Collins) about approaching another unprotected card (such as an Agenda, or another Cerebral!)
A Will-o'-the-Wisp is there to put in a tempo hit, at least hiding, hopefully a barrier breaker, so you can score out some agendas until they can draw it again.
Ark Lockdown is designed to stab the runner in the chest, as again you take out a key piece of their rig (maybe their console; hopefully a breaker).
Again, no idea if this is any good. In fact I've never played Weyland before! Input, recommendations, or even positive feedback would be appreciated!

One more addition to it: If you want to destroy rigs, Aggressive Secretary might be better than Cerebral Overwriter. It's unlikely that your brain damage is leading to a kill, so aiming for the rig directly seems to be the better option. Another note: Your deck is 25% agendas. Do you really need 3 Chronos? 9 agendas out of 44 cards would be way less density than 10 out of 40. You're already weak versus R&D digs, as |
I would certainly test decks before posting them on NRDB in the future, just because you may discover some really simple changes on your own before publishing!
I can see this deck being really susceptible to Medium digs. WotW and Overwriter seem great in theory, but if they're accessed from R&D, the runner can just go in again for a new card. They're especially motivated to make multiple runs per turn, since your ID's ability only fires once. On top of that, I don't think any competent runner would run on an advanced ice with critical pieces of their rig in hand; I know the meat damage + Ark Lockdown dream scenario seems great, but I don't see it being good nearly as often as you'd like it to be. (Plus it doesn't combo with WotW.) Lastly, this deck seems pretty expensive: Overwriter costs to advance and fire, WotW costs 4, advancing ice costs clicks and credits... Yeah, I can definitely see this deck struggling vs. aggression or Medium digs. Just my two cents though.
